Houseboat Mooring - looking for moorage for house boats in BC ?

When it comes to houseboat moorings, or for moorage for house boats, we're presently living in a 60ft Three Buoys houseboat in BC (British Columbia) on the Okanagan Lake, but the lake is being privatized.

We are looking for a lake in BC that does not freeze, stays relatively warm and is not in danger of being privatized. We have heard a little about Lake Powell, but don't have much more information. Does anyone have any ideas please.

If you are out fishing with a motor boat, make sure you have your BC Boating License from Boater Exam or you could get a $250 fine.

Well Phil, sorry to hear about your houseboat mooring problems, especially because the lake is being privatized.

As to other lake alternatives for some houseboat living, have you looked into the Lake Shuswap area?
