Chris Craft Houseboat stanchions

Chris Craft Houseboat stanchions

I have a 1971 Chris Craft houseboat. I recently broke several "volcano style" stanchions and am trying to find a dealer that has this part. If you could be of assistance in helping me find someone that carries this part I would be very grateful. My e-mail address is Hcarpie@aol.com. Thank you.

Hank, I'm sorry to hear about the stanchions. My neighbor had a Chris Craft Houseboat, I think it was also a 1971, and he also had broken a few of the railing bases (stanchions) and he had to take off one of the remaining good ones, and had them made out of aluminum.

The shop that he brought them to would make a mold out of sand, and then pour molten aluminum into the mold, and voila, brand new stanchions.

Other than that, hopefully one of our readers will have access to old houseboat parts and be able to source some used/old railing bases for you.
