Houseboats in Philadelphia, PA

Houseboats in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area
Since the beginning of the summer I've been in pursuit of a used 1996 Holiday Mansion Houseboat, a great boat, 160 engine hours, and clean as new.
The houseboat has not moved in 2 years, due to the death of the owners wife. I placed a bid with the broker, and he said he would submit it to the owner. He told me the bid was something the owner has been looking for.
I researched a slip in the Avalon, NJ area, great location, privately owned, over looking a beautiful view of the bay, not like most marinas, where it's shoulder to shoulder boats. Very secluded, I was so excited.
So needless to say, that was in June, and the broker who has kept in touch with me nearly once a week, cannot locate the owner.
So I guess what I'm trying to say is, I haven't even purchased a houseboat yet, and it's giving me problems.
Wish I was out there with you guys.
Thanks, Dennis.
Reply - AnswerWell Dennis, I hope things work out for the Holiday Mansion houseboat, it sounds like a great boat. Small tip though, be sure to get a
houseboat marine survey before purchasing it. I hope it all works out. Be sure to send us some pictures, we all love houseboat pictures :)
As to houseboats in Pennsylvania, sounds like there's some great areas to do some excellent houseboating.
Lastly, hopefully some of our readers from the Pennsylvania area will share and post comments about their houseboat experiences.
