Houseboat Living with Dogs - the Animal Planets show, UnderDog to WonderDog

Since my wife and I love living on our houseboat with our two dogs, we wanted to know who would be interested in adopting a rescue shelter dog for an excellent Animal Planet show called Underdog to Wonderdog.

Naturally our opinion is a little biased when it comes to animals, but I have no hesitation to say that the joy and laughter that our two dogs bring into our lives, easily outweighs the slight cost or inconvenience we may have. Enough about us and our pets, let's get on with the UnderDogs to WonderDogs.

Below is a copy of the email that I received from the Animal Planet casting producer, asking if one of our live-aboard houseboat readers would be interested in adopting a rescue shelter dog, and receive a free dog makeover from the Wonder Team crew.

Here is the email request from Animal Planets:

I am a Casting Producer for the Animal Planet show "Underdog to Wonderdog" and we are looking for people that live in the New York tristate area that live on a houseboat who would want to adopt a shelter dog?

With the help and expertise of our Wonder Team, these once neglected and forgotten shelter dogs will be transformed and given a second chance at life by being placed in loving and caring homes.

Not only will the pooches undergo an amazing transformation, so will the families and their homes with a special doggie make-over that insures the home and family are ready to welcome their new canine member.

We are looking for charismatic, enthusiastic and energetic families and individuals who live on a houseboat - and who have a unique, sentimental, or powerful emotional reason to want to bring a dog into their lives.

But above all else, we are looking for caring people who have a lot of love to give, and are truly serious about giving a shelter or rescued dog a "forever" home.

We are looking for families in the immediate New York area. This includes New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Long Island, and Pennsylvania.
