Help! New to this world, looking for..

Hello! My name is Thea, and I am very very new to this boat living world. So new, in fact, that I'm actually not in it yet. My goal is to spend about 6 weeks on a boat this summer. I would like to be on Lake Powell, but I'm pretty open to anywhere. I also do not have a lot of money. I was hoping that I could get some advice from people who are familiar with this community as to options on renting, possibly trading services/labor, or of places to find a good deal. If someone could even point me in the direction of a website or blog or forum for boaters in the UT/AZ area, I would be so grateful. I grew up with ski boats, all manual powered boats, and some sailing, and I currently live in Seattle and am learning to sail, so anything in that community would be helpful as well. I so appreciate any advice y'all are willing to offer. Thanks in advance!
