Our trailerable houseboat studio in Santa Barbara CA
We are moving our small trailerable houseboat studio from California to Texas. We are moving our art studios from the lovely shores of Santa Barbara where for many years we had a floating houseboat in the Santa Barbara Harbor in California, to Austin, Texas where we hope to establish a new studio.
We are wondering about mooring in the Austin area. It is a new area for us and any advise would be appreciated. To look at our Santa Barbara Houseboat Studio, go to our website www.elbertprice.com and click on about the artist, then scroll to the bottom of the page. Enjoy the art while you are on the website, many painted aboard the houseboat "Segue".
Thanks for any help, Elbert and Shirley.

Well Elbert and Shirley, I am sorry to hear about the move, yet it makes me think of the saying, "when one door closes, another one opens".
As to any information about the Austin Texas area, you can always try our houseboat marinas in Texas page for some names and contact info.
Another good source of information is the US Army Corps of Engineers as they cover all the activities related to water.
Lastly, hopefully some of our readers will share and post comments about their Austin Texas houseboat areas and experiences. Feel free to use the "Click here to post comments." link found near the bottom of this page.
Thanks again for sharing, IAN - from www.all-about-houseboats.com
