IHF Houseboat Show - first NMMA show on House Boats, a big Success
The free IHF NMMA Houseboat Show seminars were great!
After hosting the seminars at the first IHF NMMA Houseboat show in Louisville KY, I can say that the venture was a great success for visitors, exhibitors, industry, and the manufacturers of house boats as well.
The good folks at the Kentucky Exposition Center
were able to keep it all running smoothly, even considering the ice storm that created havoc for over 400,000 people in the general area, the loss of power was only for a short period, and as they say "the show must go on".
Even though that my wife Manon and I arrived a little later to the show, due to the flight cancellations and delays, we still had time to setup the equipment, projectors and audio for the free 1 hour long houseboat seminars that we had prepared for the three day event.
At the house boat seminars
, we had topics like Houseboating 101, Electronics & Navigation, Lifestyles & Entertainment, and Areas & Destinations to keep the visitors entertained and informed.
It was a pleasure to meet so many folks
from all different areas, and to hear about their own boating experiences and questions. Houseboaters are some of the nicest people you ever could meet :)
And a special thanks has to go to the NMMA
, as they treated us with excellent hospitality, were truly professional, and lastly, were very pleased with the seminar partnership. We already have ideas for next year, and are really looking forward to it.In closing
, houseboaters are some of the nicest people you could meet, and we think we were fortunate to have met so many last weekend :)Sincerely, IAN from all-about-houseboats
