TINKERTOY - a Coleman Saling houseboat
I bought a 1969 Coleman Saling Houseboat last year which is in excellent shape...other than a few tweaks here and there and of course, giving it a touch of my own style.
However, I absolutely cannot find ANY information on ANY type of Coleman Saling boats! (and yes, 'Saling' is spelled correctly) Does anyone know of any sites or articles to find some information about Coleman Saling boats?
Mine has a steel hull and is 38x12...big enough for me and my co-captain feline, Max :) I know an owner's manual would be pushing my luck but it sure would be nice.
Any comments or suggestions are very welcome! This is all new to me, not just on-board living but the entire boating world! YIKES! But hey...so far, so good~ I'm lovin' it! Oh yeah! And the reason I "chose" this manufacturer or model....this was a steal!

I worked for the company that built your houseboat. They were built in Morgantown, Ky. They went out of the business in 1971 and started building Coleman Homes.
The company was owned by Glendel, David, and Denzil Coleman (all presently living in Morgantown) and the late Lake Saling. I was secretary and got to go preview each boat before it left. Any other information you may probably call Denzil Coleman with any questions about the boat.
I was just curious and wanted to see what I could find on the net. So glad the boat is still around. Good sailing. I do not live in Morgantown now but it is still home to me.
